Lewis Cantley, Ph.D. of Weill Cornell Medicine, reflects on winning the 2020 Dr. Paul Janssen Award for Biomedical Research. A world leader in cancer and metabolic disease research, he was selected by an independent committee of renowned scientists for significant advances in cancer research for his discovery of PI-3-kinase (PI3K) which has revolutionized treatments for cancer, diabetes and autoimmune diseases.
